Physiology Lab Manual and Notebook, 1935
Scope and Contents
The bulk of the materials are class notes, examinations, manuscripts, case histories and reports made by Dr. Brunkow as a student and intern of Reed College and the University of Oregon Medical School. There are also a few items of correspondence. Included are War Department Medical Field manuals, 1941-1942, school textbooks: A Textbook of Pathology, by W. G. MacCallam, 1936, and Principals of Human Physiology, by C. Lovatt Evans, 1936, and a small box of instruments and lab slides.
The oversize visual aids portion of this collection (Series II: Artifacts) appears to be the catch-all location for anatomical drawings (many by UOMS in-house graphic artist Clarice Ashworth); photograpic prints; strip negatives; and radiographs. Most of these contain patient information. Many of the drawings are from his class days, while the bulk of the photographs were taken as part of Dr. Brunkow's practice.
