Scope and Contents
The Francone Papers consist of preliminary sketches in pencil, arranged by region of the body, plus finished drawings for Structure and Function of Man. Also included are books of which Francone was co-author or illustrator. The files include published drawings and proofs of works by other medical illustrators, photographs and some personal items. The bulk of the original sketches were created between 1926 and 1965, though most are not dated.
