Scope and Contents
The collection consists of an American flag and a film. The American flag was used in Kathryn Hilterbrant’s funeral. The film, which has no sound, shows members of the 46th General Hospital in Kansas marching and playing sports. The film arrived in a box with the following inscription written on the front: “46th GE H 1942, film taken by Frank Lutz. This is a duplicate of a duplicate. We understand this film was taken at our basic training station, Ft. Riley, Kansas. Our boys playing baseball-at play? - Lt. Cal. Lutz headed our Dental Section.”
