Negatives and positives in the original envelopes, mostly aerial images of Marquam Hill campus, 1967-1975, undated

The Don Lowe image collection mainly consists of over 1,000 color 35mm slides thought to have been taken for marketing purposes between 1983 and 1993 at Oregon Health & Science University. There is a wide range of subject matter that includes patient care in many different departments, buildings on campus, students, aerial photographs, the Life Flight helicopter, and an air ambulance. There are many photographs of patients at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, the neonatal intensive care unit, and also of surgeries being performed.

Additionally, there are 10 envelopes dated from 1967 to 1974 that include photo negatives and positives of aerial views of the Marquam Hill campus, the parking structure, and a painting of Dr. David W. E. Baird. The only two printed photographs in this collection are in these envelopes. Lowe also produced 49 larger color slides that date from approximately 1976 tp 1990 and have paper borders; these are of similar subject matter to the slides.

There are over 600 model release forms that correspond with the slides. If the signature wasn't legible, Don or Roberta Lowe would do their best to interpret the handwriting and that name was printed on the release form and the same name was written on the slide. While it should not be assumed that the name is correct, it can be assumed that the person did sign a release form.
