The Jerome Sidney Maliner collection houses the personal papers and records of Dr. Jerome (Jerry) Maliner. This collection consists of notes, medical data, patient records, drawings and photos of Dr. Jerome Maliner's work with Paget's disease. Those interested in the studies and clinical pracitce surrounding this disease will find much of use here.

Biographical Note

Born in 1928, Dr. Jerome (Jerry) Maliner served patients as a dermatologist in Eugene and Coos Bay until he retired from active practice at the age of 70. Afterwards, he continued his work in medicince by volunteering at local White Bird and Volunteers in Medicine clinics. He took particular interest in arsenic-induced skin disorders as parts of Oregon had high arsenic levels in the well water. He also developed new less invasive skin surgery techniques. Dr. Maliner passed on June 22nd, 2019.
