Abstract
These papers consist of materials written and collected by Dr. Donald Blanchard who studied at OHSU and worked in the ophthalmology department. Within this collection are many writings by Blanchard, including writings about Georg Bartisch and his work, a translation of Bartisch’s text Ophthalmodouleia, work on ophthalmology, and papers for the Cogan Ophthalmic History Society's annual meetings.

The OHSU School of Nursing began in 1919 at the University of Oregon and offered the state’s first professional courses in nursing. In 1926, the University introduced a five-year curriculum culminating in the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing.
