Oregon schools of medicine and nursing student records collection
The Willamette University School of Medicine, founded in the 1860s in Salem, and the Multnomah School for Nurses, founded in 1910 at the Multnomah County Hospital, eventually merged with the University of Oregon Medical School in 1915 and 1932, respectively. This collection consists of matriculation registries, gradebooks, educational correspondence, and student records evidencing the academic achievements of students from these institutions.
Oregon State Medical Association records
The Oregon State Medical Society was originally organized in 1874. As time went on, reorganizations occurred and among them were the creation of the Medical History Committee and the Woman's Auxiliary, the first auxiliary in the Northwest. This collection contains a wide variety of material covering routine matters of the Society, as well as relevant major issues of the day, from the 1920s onward.
