Abstract

George Weirs King, M.D. (c.1852-1929) was a doctor in Montana and Oregon. The collection consists of miscellaneous reprints and newspaper articles by or about Dr. King and a scrapbook of photographs and assorted materials. The collection spans circa 1894 to 1902.

Student Public Health Surveys collection

Abstract

This collection is composed of public health surveys of towns primarily located in the Pacific Northwest conducted between 1930 and 1932 and includes information on topics such as diseases, foodstuffs, and water supply. As of 2017, all surveys from the state of Oregon have been digitized and are available online, with data transcriptions available, through the LSTA-funded "Public Health in Oregon" project of OHSU.

Summary

Peter Taubenberger, M.D., was a German-born doctor who practiced in both Canada and the United States. Trained as an internist, he became an Aviation Medical Examiner prior to retiring to Portland. His papers were donated to OHSU in 2011.
