David W. E. Baird graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1926. He served as Associate Dean, and then Dean of the School of Medicine from 1943 to 1968, was responsible for the administration of the Oregon Primate Center, and a member of the Portland Clinic staff. This collection consists of news articles, photographs, publications, reports, policies, and correspondence from Baird’s time as Associate Dean until his retirement.

This collection is a wide variety of correspondence to and from the Portland Free Dispensary in its last year (1929-30) before moving up to the medical school campus on Marquam Hill in 1931.

This small collection contains a variety of information of historical interest regarding the early years of the University of Oregon Medical School.

This collection is a multitude of materials reflecting the wide-ranging interests of the Business and Public Relations Offices. Among them are supply invoices; correspondence with campus, city and state offices; finances; hospital and clinic programs and procedures; student education, commencement programs, catalogs, and other printed materials; and press releases.
