Dean Churchill's black three-ring binder from North Pacific College of Oregon pharmacy school, circa 1928-1930. Followed by formulas and tips for running a pharmacy in an era when pharmacists mixed and dispensed medicines, developed photographs, and scooped ice cream sundaes. The notebook goes through the 1950s, including a clippping titled "medical needs for atomic attack." The notebook gives an overview of the role of a pharmacy back in the day, from safely dispensing medications ("Always put a non-refillable label on a narcotic prescription. This prevents disappointed customers."), to formulas for developing photographs, to soda fountain recipes and tips for dealing with customers. It also holds Dean's notes from pharmacy school, including beautifully handwritten organic chemistry pages.
