Photograph inventory

1. Dr. Donald Kassebaum (left) and 4th year medical student Mark Fisher examining patient in Multnomah Hospital medical intensive care unit, 1975. At the time, Dr. Kassebaum was professor of medicine and chief of medical services. Recording instruments in backgraound used for intravascular and ECG monitoring during physiologic studies. Fischer later practiced medicine/pulmonary diseases, Port Angeles, Washington.

3. Portland VA Hospital Department of Medicine staff and residents, 1959. Dr. Leonard Ritzmann (chief of medicine) in front row center with bow tie. Dr. J. David Bristow is at the left end of the third row, next to Dr. Donald Kassebaum with glasses. This was the inaugural year for the joint medical School-VAH medical residency made up largely of residents returning from miltary service and those of us awaiting draft call - which actually never came, and we enjoyed the full year before returning to complete our residencies at the Medical School.
