Scope and Contents
The collection consists of three books, 6.75” x 4.25”, of class notes dated 1900 to 1902. They cover classes in the practice of medicine, nervous diseases and gynecology. The books are handwritten and in good condition.

Biography Note
George William Tamiesie was born in Marion, Iowa, 1875 May 9. He was registered at the University of Oregon Medical School from 1898-1902 from which he received his M.D. degree in 1902. He practiced medicine in Portland, Oregon, and was on the staff at St. Vincent Hospital until 1956 when he retired. He was a member of the University of Oregon Alumni Association.

Abstract
This collection consists of three notebooks used in study at the University of Oregon Medical School by George W. Tamiesie, an M.D. who worked at St. Vincent's Hospital.
Acquisition Information
The material was collected by Dr. George W. Tamiesie and donated to the University of Oregon Medical School 1957 February 26. The OHSU Special Collections Staff processed the collection August 2001.
