Scope and Contents

The collection contains course packets given to students for two OHSU School of Medicine Continuing Education courses: Using Computers to Solve Clinical Problems and Information Technologies for Coordinated Care, spanning the years 1996-2003. Courses were sponsored by the OHSU Division of Medical Informatics and Outcomes for Research, now known as the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology (DMICE).

Historical note

The OHSU Medical Informatics and Outcomes for Research is now known as the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology (DMICE). DMICE is located in the Biomedical Information Communication Center (BICC) Library on OHSU's Marquam Hill campus. They are a department within the School of Medicine, overseeing clinical informatics, clinical epidemiology, and bioinformatics/computation biology.

Acquisition Information

The course materials previously belonged to a former, unidentified, DMICE (Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology) faculty member. They were transferred to the archives by Judith Clay from the Scientific Resource Center and accessioned into the archives by Archivist Karen Peterson on May 17, 2011.
