The Graduate Student Organization Records consists of three 5" x 12" boxes, one 24" x 32" box, and one rolled 24" x 72" banner. All items are in good condition. The OHSU Graduate Student Organization (GSO) was created by and for the School of Medicine graduate students. Dr. Melvin Paul Judkins was a trained urologist and general practitioner who made a mid-life transition into cardiovascular radiology. In his career at University of Oregon Medical School (UOMS) from 1961-1970 he made groundbreaking advances in cardiac surgery.
