Abstract

Carl Julius Hoffmann, M.D., graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School with the class of 1907 and served as the town doctor temporarily for LaCenter, Washington and permanently for Woodland, Washington for 62 years. The collection consists of 12 glass lantern slides of bone fractures originally created by Hoffmann.

The Yamhill County Medical Society (YCMS) was formed as an organization for physicians residing in Yamhill County, Oregon. The YCMS was a sub-society of the Oregon Medical Association (OMA), which was a part of the American Medical Association (AMA). The records of YCMS consist of correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, announcements, articles, membership applications, rosters, a diskette, and AMA and congressional booklets.
