Abstract
Carl Julius Hoffmann, M.D., graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School with the class of 1907 and served as the town doctor temporarily for LaCenter, Washington and permanently for Woodland, Washington for 62 years. The collection consists of 12 glass lantern slides of bone fractures originally created by Hoffmann.

Abstract
Ralph Edward Peterson, M.D., graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Air Force as a First Lieutenant and as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at the Clark Air Force Base in Manila, Philippines from 1960 to 1966. From 1968 until he retired, Peterson practiced medicine in Naples, FL, and also served in the National Guard from 1977 to 1991.
