Abstract

Jack Clinton spent nearly 60 years at OHSU School of Dentistry. In 1964 he began serving as an instructor, and from 2004 to 2012, served as the of Dean of the School of Dentistry. The collection represents the years from 1961 to 2004 and includes policies and manuals, pamphlets, memoranda, faculty rosters and phone lists, certificates, licenses, awards, and educational resources. A significant topic in the collection is the standardization of dental practice and of dental education.

Abstract Don Lowe worked as a photographer for Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) from approximately 1967 to 1993. During this period he took photographs of day to day activity at OHSU throughout the hospital locations and the university. He also took several aerial photographs of the Marquam Hill campus. Abstract

The OHSU Oral History Program records consist of notes, documentation, and correspondence surrounding the program, along with interview transcripts and recordings in a variety of formats. Most transcripts are available online in OHSU's Digital Collections.

Abstract

OHSU launched the Board of Overseers and Trustees in 1979 with the purposes of understanding the complex nature of an academic health sciences center, building relationships with individuals and organizations in the private sector, and serving as advocates for the university. The records span 1976-1996 and consist of the files of individual board members as well as records related to the overarching activities of the board and other supporting documents.

Abstract Dr. Archie R. Tunturi worked from approximately 1944 to 1984 at the University of Oregon Medical School. He was an Associate Professor of anatomy and a researcher focusing on the brain’s auditory cortex and the nerve paths for sound to the brain; his later research largely focused on treating spinal cord injuries.
