Abstract Al Torres, a native of Costa Rica, graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo before arriving in the United States. After serving at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Portland, and interning at Legacy Emmanuel Hospital, he went on to open the Portland Industrial Travel Clinic, dedicated to serving the needs of recent immigrants to the United States as well as travelers looking for vaccinations for overseas trips.
