Hambleton Project records
The Hambleton Project was a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon with a mission to provide support to lesbian women with cancer and other life threatening conditions. Spanning from 1997 to 2007, the collection consists of many textual documents as well as some more unique materials such as presentations, photographs, and artifacts.
Steve Hamblin collection
Steve Hamblin was born with a rare congenital deformity, a teratoma of the upper lip that was associated with a cleft lip and cleft palate. This collection comprises his medical records and treatment documentation.
Clifford Emerson Hardwick papers
Clifford Emerson Hardwick was a gastroenterologist who worked and taught in Portland, Oregon between 1928 and 1971. This collection consists of presentation notes, correspondence and a short biography written by Hardwick’s daughter, Mary Hardwick Bolton.
George C. Harris papers
This collection is from the school days of George C. Harris, M.D. (1811-1886), a Maryland-born doctor who eventually moved to Oregon and died in Dallas, Oregon. It reflects his student days at the Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia, PA.
Fred Harwin collection
Fred Harwin is an artist, medical illustrator, and ocularist. He is well-known for illustrating the breakthrough medical text Manual of Cardiac Surgery with Drs. Brad Harlan and Albert Starr. The vast majority of this collection consists of original illustrations by Harwin, including those from both the first and second editions of that manual.

Ruby Hills, Kathryn Hilterbrant, and Edith Richards papers
These papers document the history of the 46th General Base Hospital during World War II. Composed of the materials from three nurses active in the Base Hospital, the collection contains manuscripts, newspaper clippings, photographs, and photocopies of letters, lists, and other materials with the bulk being photocopies.
Kathryn D. Hilterbrant collection
Kathryn D. Hilterbrant was a member of the 46th General Hospital during World War II and was stationed in North Africa and Southern France. Hilterbrant stayed with the Army Reserves to attain the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and worked as a nurse anesthetist at the Vancouver Memorial Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. The collections contains an American flag and a film reel.
History of Dentistry collection
The collection consists of materials related to the History of Dentistry committee and its establishment. It includes records on preparation and renovation of the History of Dentistry room and the move to the BICC, as well as information on alumni and a run of the newsletter Caementum.
Carl Julius Hoffmann lantern slide collection
Carl Julius Hoffmann, M.D., graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School with the class of 1907 and served as the town doctor temporarily for LaCenter, Washington and permanently for Woodland, Washington for 62 years. The collection consists of 12 glass lantern slides of bone fractures originally created by Hoffmann.
