Abstract

The Biomedical Information Communication Center (BICC) at OHSU was completed and opened in 1991. The goal of this building was to bring together all of OHSU's information or communication services. Spanning from 1981 to 2016, the collection consists of materials on the planning, promotion, construction, and the opening of the building, along with the move into it. Materials also document the information and technology programs available at OHSU at the time.

Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive tract which causes a variety of symptoms. This collection, which dates from circa 1980 to 2007, consists of newsletters, organizational communications, pamphlets, recipes, and research on alternative treatments, documenting decades of active involvement with the Crohn’s community.

Frank G. Everett papers

Abstract

Dr. Frank G. Everett (1907-1976) was born in Vienna, Austria, where he attended the Medical and Dental schools of the University of Vienna. He came to Portland, Oregon in 1939, attended the North Pacific College and the University of Oregon Medical School, and later served on the faculties of both the Dental and Medical Schools of UOMS. This collection, dating from 1932 to 1984, houses some of his research and scholarly output, including papers, photographic slides, and tissue slides.

The Thomas M. Joyce papers (1926-1941) contains the records of a notebook compiled by Dr. Thomas M. Joyce containing many reprints, most of which are from the proceedings of the weekly staff meetings of the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, Minnesota as well as a bulletin from the University Hospital in Ann Arbor and three medical articles.
