Abstract

The collection consists of materials that pertain to the life and work of Herbert Merton Greene, M.D., and his wife, Jeanne Todd Greene, centering around Greene’s work as a civilian and military physician as well as membership in the Freemasonry and the Anglo-Saxon Christian Association. As well, materials surrounding Jeanne Todd Greene's education, work, and life as a nurse both before and during World War I are included.

Summary

Sheila M. Kodadek R.N., Ph.D.,F.A.A.N. has donated a large variety of materials collected while Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs at the School of Nursing at OHSU. The BSN program at the Western Oregon University in Monmouth; a public school health program at Merlo Station H.S. in Beaverton; and curriculum issues are highlighted in this collection.

Abstract Ralph Edward Peterson, M.D., graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Air Force as a First Lieutenant and as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at the Clark Air Force Base in Manila, Philippines from 1960 to 1966. From 1968 until he retired, Peterson practiced medicine in Naples, FL, and also served in the National Guard from 1977 to 1991. The Department of Neurology has donated a variety of certificates, documents and glass lantern slides of Dr. Laurence Selling ( -1964), famous neurologist and chief of the Dept of Medicine for 25 years until 1947.
