Scope and Contents

The collection consists of various publications created by and about OHSU, spanning 1971-2011. Materials include newsletters, brochures, reports, lecture materials, press releases, school program catalogs and handbooks, and correspondence. In addition to printed materials, a small collection of floppy disks is also included (all 3.5" discs except for one 5.25" disc). The collection is divided into 3 main series: News, Brochures, and Miscellaneous.

OHSU Historical Collections & Archives (HC&A) is the owner of the original materials and digitized images in our collections, however, the collection may contain materials for which copyright is not held. Patrons are responsible for determining the appropriate use or reuse of materials. Consult with HC&A to determine if we can provide permission for use.

Historical note

Strategic Communications at OHSU manages the media produced by and about the university, including major news stories and events. Although now known as Strategic Communications, the department has held different names throughout the years, including University Relations and Public Affairs, University News and Publications, and the Communications Office.

Strategic Communications at OHSU manages the media produced by and about the university, including major news stories and events. The collection was transferred from the various iterations of this department and consists of assorted publications created by and about OHSU. Materials span 1971-2011, and include newsletters, brochures, reports, lecture materials, press releases, school program catalogs and handbooks, and correspondence.
