Abstract

As a member of the 46th General Hospital, Cliff Morris collected a set of articles and photographs from unit training days in 1942, as well as unit rosters procured at reunions after the war.

Abstract

George Chamberlain graduated University of Oregon (1936) and University of Oregon Medical School (1938) and became an otolaryngologist. The collection consists of a paper on diagnosis and treatment of Otosclerosis, including pictures of instruments used in the operation and negatives of the operation itself.

Abstract

J.Peter Bentley was trained in England as a biochemist before coming to the U.S. to do wound healing research at Harvard. He continued this in Oregon after getting his Ph.D. at University of Oregon Medical School. Also known as a student mentor and Assistant Dean of Planning, he was picked in 1976 to lead a study group on creating a Faculty Senate. These related files were donated in 1998.

These papers contain pictures of nurses and patients at Doernbecher Memorial Children's Hospital, as well as several clippings documenting surgical events on twins (identical and conjoined) events and news at Doernbecher in 1959.

Abstract George A. Porter graduated in 1957 from the University of Oregon Medical School, was a Cardiology Fellow and Nephrology Fellow before becoming Professor Emeritus in the School of Medicine Nephrology Department at OHSU. His collection is composed of 83 slides with the common subject matter being historical images from the University of Oregon Medical School at 23rd and Lovejoy, the Marquam Hill Campus and of Howard P. Lewis, Chairman of Medicine at the University of Oregon Medical School...

Abstract

The Student Activities Building was designed for use by students of each school at the University of Oregon Medical School. The building opened on October 4, 1960. The materials in this collection consist of correspondence, brochures, and blueprints pertaining to the structure.

The collection primarily consists of stenographic records of lectures given by the officers of the 46th General Hospital at Fort Riley, Kansas in fall 1942. Also present are newspaper articles with group pictures and names of staff, and photographic negatives of group pictures of staff.
