OHSU Overseers and Trustees records

OHSU launched the Board of Overseers and Trustees in 1979 with the purposes of understanding the complex nature of an academic health sciences center, building relationships with individuals and organizations in the private sector, and serving as advocates for the university. The records span 1976-1996 and consist of the files of individual board members as well as records related to the overarching activities of the board and other supporting documents.

Osterud (1923-2004) served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during the Korean War and joined the UOMS Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in 1961, serving as Department Chairman from 1967 until his retirement in 1990.
